Many of the waterfalls in Bali are in the North of the Island due to the slopes of Mount Augung and Mount batur providing the idealistic terrain however there are some waterfalls closer to the central tourism areas of Kuta.

Aling Aling Waterfall
Location: Sambangan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency The Aling-Aling waterfall has height approximately 35 meters above the ground and has its own uniqueness where from the top of the waterfall, it is divided into 2 side-by-side waterfalls. There are 4 other waterfalls near Aling-aling waterfall with options for cliff jumping and also a natural slide down the waterfall.

Banyu Wana Amertha Waterfall
Location: Wanagiri, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency There are 4 separate waterfalls at the location of Banyu Wana Amertha. One of the waterfalls can only be visit during the wet season however the other 3 run most of the year. All of the waterfalls are covered by the lush tropical forest vegetation with clear waters that is pleasant and refreshing.

Banyumala Waterfall
Location: Wanagiri, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency Bayumala, also known as Twin Waterfall because of the two parallel waterfalls. The sight of this twin beauty can be overwhelming, as you take in the gush of uninterrupted water pouring against the steep cascading rocks. The pool of water also provides enough depth for a refreshing swimming area.

Blahmantung Waterfall
Location: Pujungan, Pupuan, Tabanan Regency With a spectacular drop over of 100 meters is simply amazing, particularly during the rainy season. A trek of approximately 1 Km is required to reach the waterfall. On the trek you also have the opportunity to view several other smaller waterfalls ranging in height from 50 meters to 25 meters.

Canging Waterfall & Camping Area
Location: Sambangan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency The waterfall is located a short walk through rice fields and over a bridge. The falls are not to high however breathtaking located in the middle of green tropical forest with hills in the background. The site is also very popular for locals as a camping ground with a flat area to accommodate tents.

Carat Waterfall
Location: Bontihing, Kubutambahan, Buleleng Regency There are 2 falls here 1 of 100 meters which is difficult to access but can be viewed and another of 35 meters below falls are accessible via a path with many steps going down to it. There is also at one of the entrances a pool that has been constructed and parking area so you can swim overlooking the site of the waterfall and forest.

Cemara Waterfall
Location: Sambangan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency Perhaps one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali surrounded by lush forest. The falls have a height of 25 meters and a unique tiered flow creating a visual beauty. The trek to arrive here is longer than other falls perhaps 3 kilometres however upon arriving you will appreciate the beauty and also a lovely swimming area.

Dedari Waterfall
Location: Sambangan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency Easily accessed by a well maintained path of cement and stone though rarely visited by tourists. There are several falls to see within the area but this is the highest waterfall of the 7 waterfalls in Sambangan. Locals believe an angel bathed in this waterfall and if bathing or cleaning the face with the water you will look younger.

Dusun Kuning Waterfall
Location: Taman Bali, Bangli Sub-District, Bangli Regency This 25m-high fall feeds the southward flowing Melangit River are non touristic. To reach the falls you walk down a path and many steps however the views of the forest are beautiful surrounded by tropical plants. The waterfall has a small deep pool where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and another section of the river just below.

Gitgit Waterfall
Location: Singaraja, Gitgit, Kec. Sukasada, Kabupaten, Buleleng One of Bali's most popular and therefore touristic waterfalls drawing many people. The area is easily accessible by a short walk where you will come to the falls of which there is 2. Gitgit Waterfall the taller of the 2 with a shallow pool and Gitgit Twin Waterfall the shorter waterfall however this has a deeper pool for swimming.

Jembong Waterfall
Location: Ambengan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency Jembong Waterfall is not a typical vertical falls but rather a tiered falls on a 75% angle. The falls are surrounded by gardens and an area that has been developed to attract tourists. There is a swing, flying fox, swimming pools and cafe. These additions to the area make the area quite busy with focus to tourism blended with nature.

Juwuk Manis Waterfall
Location: Manggissari, Pekutatan, Kabupaten Jembrana Visiting Juwuk Manis can prove to be a trek as you must walk 1 Km from the parking area to the waterfall past coffee plantations and through forest on a small path. Upon arriving however you will be in natures tranquility and view the twin streams of the waterfall with a clear pool of water below ideal for swimming.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall
Location: Beng, Gianyar Regency Kanto Lampo waterfall has become a well known tourist location that fills Facebook and Instagram photos. With obvious beauty of the tiered falls the water originates from instigation channels that burst after an avalanche. As long as you are willing to wait in line for photos and understand the beauty is touristic you will enjoy this place.

Kembar Waterfall
Location: Ambengan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency Kembar waterfall located near Aling Aling waterfall this is one of the waterfalls for cliff jumping at a height of 10 meters. The twin falls are frequented for their beauty and the accessibility of the 4 waterfalls nearby having a 5, 10, 15 meter jump platform, ideal swimming areas, and also a natural slide on one of the 4 waterfalls.

Munduk & Melanting Waterfall
Location: Gobleg, Kabupaten, Buleleng Munduk and Melanting Waterfalls are 2 seperate falls within close distance to each other. If you enjoy trekking you can see both however if a short time or you wish for a quiet day just 1. Both provide stunning falls surrounded by natures beauty and the options to swim below the falls. Nearby you may also visit the coffee plantations.

Nungnung Waterfall
Location: Pelaga, Petang, Badung Regency This is one of the less frequented waterfalls in Bali meaning if lucky you may enjoy it by yourself. Well maintained cement paths provide access however there as with all waterfalls is many steps here maybe 500. The waterfall is about 50 - 60 meters in height and very powerful with a nice swimming area but watch the force of the flow.

Peguyangan Waterfall
Location: Nusa Penida, Batukandik, Nusapenida, Kabupaten Klungkung This is a unique waterfall in Nusa Penida Island that is on the side of a cliff. The walk here can be challenging as you must descend about 900 steep stairs to the waterfall however the reward is the amazing views. There is also a temple at the bottom and 2 natural fresh water pools where you can swim in the most amazing natural pool!

Pengempu Waterfall
Location: Cau Belayu, Marga, Kabupaten Tabanan Located just out of Ubud near Sange Monkey Forest the second monkey forest. There is a good path to the waterfall which will take 5 - 10 minutes walk where you will come to the falls. The falls are approximately 20 meters high and have a swimming area below where you can relax.

Pengibul Waterfall
Location: Apuan, Susut, Bangli Regency This waterfall is actually 2 small waterfalls the first at about 15 meters and the second at 5 meters juxtaposition to each other. The area is easily accessible from good paths and there is an area for swimming or relaxing in the water. This is also very close to Tibumana waterfall so often people will see both at the same time.

Sekumpul Waterfall
Location: Sekumpul, Sawan, Buleleng Regency There are 3 waterfalls to view at Sekumpul, 1. Sekumpul, 2. Hidden Sekumpul and 3. Grombong Waterfall. The path to Sekumpul is good however the other 2 waterfalls will require a little more trekking to reach. Park at the Sekumpul parking area and then from here you can take a guide or non guided. Swimming options here also.

Sing Sing Angin Waterfall
Location: Manikyang, Kec. Selemadeg, Kabupaten Tabanan Getting to the parking area requires driving down a rough road for maybe 3 Km however when reaching the parking area it is quite easy access. It will only take about a 5 minute walk to reach the falls and around 120 steps to descend. The falls are visually beautiful although not to large the pools allow for swimming and relaxing.

Taman Beji Griya Waterfall
Location: Punggul, Kec. Abiansemal, Kabupaten Badung This area is rather large with big parking area, local food options, and good paths. This is as it is used as a purification site for Balinese people cleansing in the sacred waters. The area showcases this cultural area alongside a waterfall, swimming area and also a canyon you can walk through. Not yet busy with tourist more locals.

Tangkup Waterfall
Location: Pupuan, Tegallalang, Gianyar A hidden gem off the tourist path which gives it it's beauty. After going down the dirt road you will meet the friendly owners of the land who will guide you to the start of the trail by the river to reach the falls. Please leave them a donation & they will often offer you fruit or coffee. The falls are small but beautiful to wade in and cool down.

Tegenungan Waterfall
Location: Kemenuh, Kec. Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar Tegenungan Waterfall is one of the busiest waterfalls in Bali so expect the tourist rush before you go. There are food sellers, souvenir sellers, photographers etc. The falls them-self are nice however as all falls many steps to walk down. You may swim in the falls however note in wet season after the rains the waters will not be clear.

Tembok Barak Waterfall
Location: Sambangan, Kec. Sukasada, Kabupaten Buleleng Access to this waterfall is down a small lane-way for motorbikes or walking Gg. Cengkeh. The falls while not tall are beautiful and allow you to wade out into the water. Please note in wet season it may be difficult to access the falls as the water level will be high and strong. Best to visit just out of wet season.

Tibumana Waterfall
Location: Jl. Desa Apuan, Apuan, Susut, Kabupaten Bangli This is the more popular waterfall close to Pengibul so both can be seen at the same time if you wish. Reaching the waterfall is relatively easy with a well constructed path. There are basic change-rooms and a small restaurant. The waterfall is very beautiful coming down surrounded by green foliage. You can swim here but with low water.

Tukad Cepung Waterfall (Hidden Canyon)
Location: Jl. Tembuku, Dusun Penida Kelod, Tembuku, Kabupaten Bangli Not to be confused with Hidden Canyon Beji Guwung this is the more popular of the 2 locations. Famous for Instagram with a waterfall that is accessible first from a well maintained pathway and then continuing to walk along the canyon. Ideal in the morning about 9:00 - 10:30 am depending on the time of year for the sunlight.

Tukad Yeh Unda Dam
Location: Tukad Yeh Unda, Semarapura Kelod Kangin, Kec. Klungkung Regency While not an actuall waterfall this dams design has an upper and lower fall creating a scene like that of a long curtain of water. There has been iconic photos taken from this location of the children playing with water. Many locals used this dam for fishing, bathing and the area has of-course also become an iconic photography spot.

Wana Ayu Waterfall
Location: Padangbulia, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency This waterfall is little known however there is reason. While there are stairs going to the waterfall the flow can vary here from very small to very big so it is best to not come after heavy rainfall. The waterfall is beautiful if the weather is right and you will often have the entire place to yourself to enjoy.

Yeh Mampeh Waterfall
Location: Les, Tejakula, Kabupaten BulelengTejakula, Kabupaten Buleleng This waterfall is approximately 35 meters and flows most of the year round. There is a small shop and food place at the parking and then from here a 20 minute walk down a concrete path to the falls. The falls are very beautiful and not yet over run with tourist. You can enjoy refreshing under the falls however the water is shallow.

Yeh Poh Waterfall
Location: Jl. Raya Yehpoh, Manggis, Kec. Manggis, Kabupaten Karangasem This waterfall is one for those who enjoy trekking as the walk is 30 minutes down a path that is somewhat unmaintained. Many have not found the waterfall however for those who do it is a spectacular sight and you will usually have it all to yourself. It is a great place to relax and cool off in the fresh waters plus take some great photos.
