Mount Agung (Gunung Agung)
Location: Jungutan, Bebandem, Karangasem Regency, Bali The volcanic Mount Agung is the highest point of elevation on the island of Bali at 3'031 m dominating the environment and controlling the areas climate. Balinese believe Mt Agung originates from Mt Meru, the central axis of the universe. Mt Agung is very active recently with several small eruptions and gaseous releases.

Mount Batur & Lake Batur
Location: South Batur, Kintamani, Bangli Regency, Bali The active volcano of Mt Batur rises 1'717 m at the foot of which lies the serene Lake Batur. The surrounding area is widely known collectively as Kintamani yet includes Penelokan, ToyaBungkah, Batur, and Kedisan Villages. Mt Batur can be also climbed offering spectacular views of the lake below.

Munduk Highlands
Location: Munduk, Banjar, Buleleng Regency, Bali Munduk Village is a Green village located between 500 to 1200 meters above sea level and with average temperatures of 20 to 25°C. Munduk village is famous within Bali producing handicrafts and fresh produce. The area is also ideal for trekking where you can explore traditional culture and 3 beautiful waterfalls.

Tegallalang Rice Terraces
Location: Tegallalang, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali The Tegallalang Rice terraces are located just out of Ubud and on most peoples to see list. The terraced slopes of the rice fields provide for a spectacular view and photo opportunities. There is also cafes, trekking, a sky bike ride, swing and several other activities to do in and surrounding the rice terraces.

Jatiluwih Rice Terraces
Location: Jatiluwih, Penebel, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali Located at the foot of Mount Batukaru these rice terraces are often thought to be the best in Bali. With sweeping views of the mountains and terraces the terraces occupy over 600 hectares of land. Opportunities of trekking, bike rides, cafes and other activities surround the rice terraces.

Twin Lakes Buyan and Tamblingan
Location: Jl. Raya Pancasari, Gobleg, Kec. Banjar, Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali The view of these 2 lakes is breathtaking and a place to stop if you are in the area. You also have the option to trek, take great Instagram photos, try the swing, take photos, or simply take a drink and snack at some of the cafes and or warungs that are nearby to the best viewing area.

Bali Hot Springs
Location: All over Bali Bali with its volcanic activity has numerous hot pools which are great places to swim and relax with friends and family. Many of these hot pools are in the Top Central and North areas of Bali due to the location of the volcanoes. We will be uploading a list of our favourite hot springs in Bali soon.

Ground Zero Memorial (Monumen Tragedi Kemanusiaan)
Location: Sambangan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency, Bali Following the 2002 Bali bombing on 12 October 2002 a permanent memorial was built on the site of the destroyed Paddy's Pub on Legian Street. The memorial is made of intricately carved stone, set with a large marble plaque, which bears the names and nationalities of each of those killed within the tragic event.

Sacred Monkey Forest
Location: Jl. Monkey Forest, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali The monkeys within the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal are commonly called long-tailed macaques. The Monkey Forest represents a sacred Balinese Hindu site with the first temple believed to have been built here in the mid-14th century. The site has approx. 27 acres, 150 tree species and 650 monkeys

Penglipuran Village
Location: Jl. Penglipuran, Kabupaten Bangli, Bali Penglipuran is a traditional Balinese village located in the Bangli district. The village is unique within Bali as the people here have a strong focus on preserving traditional culture which is displayed throughout the village. A clean place with friendly people, great architecture, walking trails nearby and traditional stalls.

Tenganan Village
Location: Ambengan, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency Tenganan is one of several ancient villages in Bali, which are usually called "Bali Aga" where the village maintains the traditional pure Balinese lifestyle. The village is well known for "Kain Ikat" a Balinese traditional weaving produced. Warning - This area has become a tourist trap where guests are pressured to purchase overpriced items.

Pinge Traditional Village
Location: Jl. Raya Marga-Apuan, Apuan, Kec. Baturiti, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali Pinge is a beautiful village that maintains the traditional culture and practices of Bali. Natar Jemeng Temple here houses several historically significant Balinese artifacts and the area also has some significant temples. Guests here can also try traditional activities including cooking, farming, dance, and spiritual practices.

Terunyan Village
Location: Terunyan, Kintamani, Bangli Regency, Bali The village of Trunyan is famous for their special funeral ceremonies where the dead are not buried nor cremated. They are simply laid on the ground and left to decompose. This is a Bali Aga village and the burial area lies on an Island in Lake Batur. Be warned boat cost can be overpriced and you can only see a small area.

Mas Village - Carving
Location: MAS, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali Located just out of Ubud this area is famous for carving. The village has produced a number of master carvers who work in the traditional Balinese style creating religious works as well as other traditional pieces. Modern carving works can also be purchased along with other art forms. Be sure to barter for your purchases.

Batuan Village – Painting
Location: Batuan, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali Located South of Ubud near Sukawati Batuan famous for painting. The style of painting in Batuan is still more of a traditional format in comparison to other areas of Bali which have become more westernised in recent years. Batuan also has a variety of other arts all of which can be purchased here. Be sure to barter.

Celuk Village – Silver Smith
Location: Celuk, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali Located just South of Ubud next to the Sukawati this location is famous for metal craftsmanship particularly silver smiths. You will find multiple shops selling retail and wholesale volumes of traditional and modern jewelry produced direct from local craftsmen and women. Bartering prices is essential.

Tohpati Village – Batik
Location: Tohpati, Banjarangkan, Klungkung Regency, Bali Located North East of Ubud near Bangli this location is famous as Bali's Batik manufacturing area. Batik is a traditional form of fabric design using a pen like tool to draw wax onto fabric and create a pattern prior to dying the material. This is an ancient art of which each village area is unique. Be sure to barter purchases.

Alas Harum Bali Coffee Plantation
Location: Tegallalang, Kec. Tegallalang, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali This location is a coffee plantation and more. You can learn basics about coffee and tea production, taste it and purchase items. There are also nests, swings, flying fox, sky bike, viewing platforms and photo settings, a restaurant with pool. Activities are extra cost and can be booked in advance with us for discount rates.

Bali Pulina Coffee Plantation
Location: Sebatu, Kec. Tegallalang, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali This location focuses more on the coffee with a great informative tour of the coffee plantation followed by sampling and the option to purchase. They also have swings, a zip line, a pool in the middle of the forest, amazing views over the terraces and forest, a restaurant. Activities extra cost. Email us for discount rates.

Wanagiri Coffee Plantation Bali
Location: Wanagiri, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency, Bali This is not a commercial run coffee plantation but a family run plantation which means you will find something special here. You are guided directly by the family who own the plantation very informatively and also lovely people. The plantation is beautiful and you have the option to buy coffee at a good price with no sales push.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana Park
Location: Jl. Raya Uluwatu, Ungasan, Kec. Kuta Sel., Kabupaten Badung, Bali GWK cultural park is famous for the construction of a gigantic statue of Vishnu riding on the back of a 'Garuda’. The cultural park is a place for art and culture performances, exhibitions, and conferences as well as catering to tourism with many interesting displays, restaurants, shops, and activities on offer.

Kecak Fire Dance Ulawatu or Taman Kaja Ubud
Location: Ubud Taman Kaja & Uluwatu Temple – Most popular locations Originating from the Indonesian sanghyang exorcism ritual in 1930 modified to include the story of Ramayana a Hindu epic of Rama whose wife Sita is abducted by Ravana the king of Lanka. This story explores human values and the concept of dharma. Fire, dance, music and chanting for a special Balinese experience.

Margarana National Monument Park
Location: Kelaci, Marga Dauh Puri, Marga, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali This is a monument in tribute to some 1300 Indonesian fighters who lost their lives on the 20th November 1946 that stood against the Dutch to take back their freedom. The park has wide open spaces as well as the monument making for a sobering yet beautiful look into the history of Bali and Indonesia.

Makepung Buffalo Race
Location: Mekepung, Kaliakah, Kec. Negara, Kabupaten Jembrana, Bali A long tradition in Jembrana is the buffalo races where only the best animals are selected to drive modified carts in a race. There are several races usually 7 leading up to the final race held between July to November every year. Dates can change however the day is always a Sunday.

Bali Kite Festival
Location: Various locations Sanur primary location opening and closing days The Bali kite festival is a large occasion where teams from all over Bali compete through numerous categories in kite competitions. 2020’s dates are the 15th – 18th of August however it may vary each year. Kites can be seen averaging 4 meters wide and 10 meters long with tails to 100 meters in length at the biggest.

Bunut Bolong
Location: Manggissari, Kec. Pekutatan, Kabupaten Jembrana, Bali Bunut Bolong is a large Banyan Tree of which has a hold in the middle large enough to drive a car through. If you are newlyweds you may not want to drive through this tree though as it is believed to be bad luck and for this reason a secondary road has been built alongside the tree.

Beji Guwang (Hidden Canyon)
Location: Jalan Sahadewa, Banjar Wangbung, Guwang, Sukawati, Bali This canyon is not for those who do not enjoy a 1.5 – 2 hour trek through over rocks and through the river to reach it. For those that do however you will be rewarded with beautiful natural scenery along the way and then when reaching the highlight of the canyon a photographer’s paradise with beautiful views.

Waterblow
Location: Nusa Dua – Behind Hotel Grand Hyatt Bali This location is on a cliff face where the powerful waters from the Indian Ocean crash against the jagged cliff rocks to propel the water up to 30 meters in the air. There is a walk way directly down to the location however take care as this can get slippery and you will get wet from the water but also get good photos.

Campuhan Ridge
Location: Jl. Raya Campuhan, Sayan, Kecamatan Ubud, Bali The Campuhan Ridge Walk has become very popular in recent years for its close proximity to central Ubud yet beautiful views making you feel away from the busy area. Starting from the Ibah Luxury Villas and Spa the walk will take about 2 hours and is an easy walk going through shops and rice fields ending up at Karsa Café.

Yeh Pul Temple Stone Carving
Location: Jalan Yeh Pulu Blahbatuh, Bedulu, Kec. Gianyar, Bali While this site only has a small temple, the attraction is the rock carvings. Dating back to the 14th century wayang figures are carved into a section of rock approximately 25 meters long and 2 meters high. The sight is rather quiet compared to other locations and surrounded by rice fields.

Beji Selati – Purification Waters
Location: Jl. Banjar Selat, Bunutin, Kec. Bangli, Bali This is a little-known location for tourist which contains sacred spiritual and healing waters in a number of springs for purification. Located not far from Kanto Lampo waterfall this is a relaxing place to visit off the standard tourist path. Purification ceremonies will cleanse the negative spirits from the body.

Bajra Sandhi (Bali’s Struggle Monument)
Location: Jl. Raya Puputan, Panjer, Kec. Denpasar Sel., Kota Denpasar, Bali This modern monument was constructed to recognise the struggle of the Indonesian people for freedom. The temple is set in a large park with 3 inner sections and a ground level courtyard. Within the monument there are 17 dioramas showing the history of Bali, historic photos and a 360-degree lookout.

Klenteng Ling Gwan Kiong (Chinese Temple)
Location: Jl. Erlangga No.65, Kp. Bugis, Kec. Buleleng, Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali This Chinese temple dates back to 1873 and overlooks the old Singaraja harbour. The temple celebrates Taoism, Confucianism and Chinese Buddhism. Here you may enjoy the gardens, lotus pond, and murals depicting Chinese deities. The temple is dominated with red and gold the lucky colours and actively used.
